MICMT Complex Care Management Course

(Updated October 22nd, 2019)

June 2019, MICMT launched a standardized Complex Care Management course curriculum and a Statewide Trainer organization application for this course. The intent is to create a standardized Complex Care Management training experience across the state. The MICMT CCM standardized course is now offered by the MICMT team and MICMT Approved Complex Care Management Course Trainer Organizations.

Course content is applicable to all Care Managers and healthcare professionals in the ambulatory care setting, working with complex patients. The MICMT Complex Care Management Course (CCM) curriculum provides the framework for the complex care management role, foundational elements of integration into the ambulatory care setting, and development of complex care management skills.

MICMT requires the PO leader, practice manager or attendee's direct manager to register the care manager for the Complex Care Management Course. This will facilitate accuracy of completion of the course registration fields and access to longitudinal resources for your staff.



MICMT CCM Course is a blended learning activity and consists of the following components:

  1. Recorded webinar, orientation to MICMT CCM Course.
  2. Self-study web based modules
  3. In-person training, one 8 hour day
  4. MICMT CCM Course Statewide Post Test and course evaluation

Successful course completion: Learner completes all course components as listed above and achieve a "Pass" score of 80% or greater on the MICMT CCM Course Statewide Post Test. NOTE: test scores will be made available to the Physician organizations

For High Intensity Care Model Managers (HICM) ONLY - HICM now integrates with the CCM course. HICM participants are required to complete the MICMT CCM course and two subsequent HICM self-study modules that provide the additional specific information for the HICM program.
